Since 2007, I've been on a mission to empower aspiring writers by sharing sophisticated fiction writing techniques in a way that's makes them both simple and easy-to-use.

I've spent nearly a decade teaching creative writing to both adults and youth through St. Lawrence College and Queen's University (Kingston). And my website, How to Write a Book Now, was named one of the top 100 sites for writers two years running.

Though I've been a professional writer since 1999, wrote an award winning middle-grade novel, and co-authored an NYT bestselling business book, I'd be the first to admit that my biggest thrill comes from nuturing creativity in others. Perhaps that's the result of the years I spend completing an M.A. in English while spending all my spare time doing community and professional theatre.
